BeINpundit urges Besiktas to avoid signing Olivier Giroud

BEIN Turkey pundit Mehmet Demirkol has urged Besiktas to avoid the prospect of signing Olivier Giroud in the future, given the Frenchman does not offer much in terms of goalscoring. The Chelsea striker made the headlines during the summer as he went on to win the World Cup with France despite failing to find the scoresheet.

Since then, he has managed to contribute three assists for Chelsea from seven Premier League appearances but there remain question marks regarding his future with his contract expiring at the end of the season. Speaking to BeIN Turkey, Demirkol suggested that the Frenchman can make an impact with his presence on the pitch but the marksman would not suit Besiktas, given he does not find the scoresheet on a regular basis.

Cenk Tosun speaks on the futures of Davy Klaassen and Ryan Babel

Everton striker Cenk Tosun has stressed that teammate Day Klaassen has now ambition of heading to Besiktas during the ongoing transfer window. The Dutchman has been linked with a potential move away from Goodison Park after an unfruitful first season but Tosun has dismissed the prospect of him making the move to Istanbul.

Speaking to Turkish outlet Sabah, Tosun confirmed that he had spoken to Klaassen regarding the same but the response was negative, he said: “Klaassen is a very good football player and I asked him if he would come to Besiktas. But he replied ‘I do not think Turkey.’ The subject was closed from the start.”

Besiktas manager confirms Anderson Talisca could join Liverpool

Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has revealed that Anderson Talisca could be on his way to joining Liverpool during this summer’s transfer window. The Brazilian footballer has been on loan with the Turkish outfit over the past two seasons but Gunes had admitted that the Black Eagles are unlikely to re-sign him on a permanent basis from Besiktas this summer.

Speaking to reporters, Gunes confirmed that Talisca won’t be plying his trade for Besiktas next term whilst hinting that Liverpool may have already reached an agreement for the Brazilian’s signature, he said: “Talisca was already gone at the mid-season break. I’m sorry that he won’t be with us any longer. I wish he could stay for his sake and ours. He already had a deal in place. He might be rivals with Cenk Tosun.”
