Everton striker Cenk Tosun has stressed that teammate Day Klaassen has now ambition of heading to Besiktas during the ongoing transfer window. The Dutchman has been linked with a potential move away from Goodison Park after an unfruitful first season but Tosun has dismissed the prospect of him making the move to Istanbul.
Speaking to Turkish outlet Sabah, Tosun confirmed that he had spoken to Klaassen regarding the same but the response was negative, he said: “Klaassen is a very good football player and I asked him if he would come to Besiktas. But he replied ‘I do not think Turkey.’ The subject was closed from the start.”

According to Fotomac, the Toffees have made an initial approach to the player’s representative as they seek to monitor the developments of the former Arsenal man. The Merseyside outfit were initially hoping to prise the player away from Besiktas on a free transfer in the summer but the alleged interest from Borussia Dortmund appears to have changed the complexion of the story.
