Ryan Babel’s joined the Arabian side Al Ain on July of 2015 as he was transferred from Kasimpasa over to Al Ain but he has had early struggles in his new club due to a number of different reasons which range from having underwhelming performances to even being sanctioned after an incident which occurred involving Babel and a Liverpool supporter.
The 29 year old player made a sexist response towards a Liverpool supporter as Babel released a comment to the woman which read: ‘’i think u should concentrate on growing some tits instead of speaking about football… Ur a girl.. Stay in ur lane.’’ Babel continued on by saying that he won’t discuss or argue anything about football with a woman.

This isn’t the first time that Ryan Babel has created uproar in social media as he has already been sanctioned in the past. The other incident which the Dutchman caused was back in 2011 when he posted a picture of the former referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United shirt after Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford. Babel was later fined for £10,000.
Ever since Babel joined Al Ain, he has been under heavy criticism from the fans of the club and this is mainly due to the uninspiring performances that the Dutchman has pulled off. In his 10 opening appearances as a player of Al Ain, he has only scored 2 goals and overall, his conduct in matches has just been dull.
Babel had a meeting with the Al Ain management and he took the chance to voice his determination to improve and consequently start to earn the support of the team.
“I know I have not performed at 100 per cent until now and I promise everyone that I will do my very best in the coming period and I await the fans support for myself and the rest of the team. I hope that Al Ain’s supporters can trust me. Given another, last chance I have no doubts that you will back me when I wear the Al Ain shirt so that I can perform to your expectations’’ Ryan Babel as he pledged his future with the Arabian club.
