BABEL NEARING END OF BESIKTAS CONTRACT

At the end of the season, his contract will be over, and Ryan Babel’s manager responded to the statements of Fikret Orman.

The player’s contract will be finished at the end of the current season and new contract negotiations between Babel and the club have begun.

Speaking in an interview, Ryan Babel’s manager, Winnie Haatrecht said, “Besiktas submitted an offer, our demands do not quite meet the club’s offer.  We will have to find a solution.”

Upon this, Fikret Orman decided not to continue with the player’s negotiations since Babel and his manager did not accept the offer.

Babel’s manager Haatrecht reacted to the decision.

“Ryan Babel is one of the most important players of Besiktas. It is obvious that they add to the team. The words of President Fikret Orman are sad for Babel. With the growth of the tension, the two sides are expected to meet for a new meeting.”

Babel was forced to leave the game in the Netherlands vs. Germany match and is expected to stay 3 weeks away from the pitch.

Ryan Guno Babel is a Dutch professional footballer who currently plays for Turkish club Beşiktaş and the Netherlands national team. He can play as a striker or left winger.

Babel began his career at Ajax in 1998, working his way up through the youth team and into the senior squad. He played three seasons for the first team before he was transferred to Liverpool in mid-2007, where under three successive managers he failed to secure a regular first team position.

Babel was sold to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in January 2011, for a sum around half of that which Liverpool paid for him.

Babel has been part of the Netherlands national team since 2005, and has represented his country at all youth team levels. He played in two World Cups, 2006 and 2010, reaching the final of the latter.
