Ryan Babel’s pledged to turn things around in Al AIn

Ryan Babel’s joined the Arabian side Al Ain on July of 2015 as he was transferred from Kasimpasa over to Al Ain but he has had early struggles in his new club due to a number of different reasons which range from having underwhelming performances to even being sanctioned after an incident which occurred involving Babel and a Liverpool supporter.

The 29 year old player made a sexist response towards a Liverpool supporter as Babel released a comment to the woman which read: ‘’i think u should concentrate on growing some tits instead of speaking about football… Ur a girl.. Stay in ur lane.’’ Babel continued on by saying that he won’t discuss or argue anything about football with a woman.

Stay in ur lane.’’ Babel continued on by saying that he won’t discuss or argue anything about football with a woman.

This isn’t the first time that Ryan Babel has created uproar in social media as he has already been sanctioned in the past. The other incident which the Dutchman caused was back in 2011 when he posted a picture of the former referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United shirt after Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford. Babel was later fined for £10,000.

Ever since Babel joined Al Ain, he has been under heavy criticism from the fans of the club and this is mainly due to the uninspiring performances that the Dutchman has pulled off. In his 10 opening appearances as a player of Al Ain, he has only scored 2 goals and overall, his conduct in matches has just been dull.

Babel had a meeting with the Al Ain management and he took the chance to voice his determination to improve and consequently start to earn the support of the team.

“I know I have not performed at 100 per cent until now and I promise everyone that I will do my very best in the coming period and I await the fans support for myself and the rest of the team. I hope that Al Ain’s supporters can trust me. Given another, last chance I have no doubts that you will back me when I wear the Al Ain shirt so that I can perform to your expectations’’ Ryan Babel as he pledged his future with the Arabian club.

After spending 7 years of being away from Ajax, Heitinga makes his return

The first major club that John Heitinga performed in was Ajax as the Dutch defender grew in the youth team of Ajax where he managed to develop his skills alongside the likes of: Rafael van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and ZlatanIbrahimovic.

Heitinga sustained a knee injury which kept him out of the playing grounds for more than 6 months and the defender made a move to Athletic Madrid at the end of the 2007-08 season for a transfer fee of around €9 million.

From there on out, Heitinga has made his way to Everton, Fulham and Hertha BSC before eventually making his return to Ajax.

The 31 years old defender made his return to Ajax on June 25 of the ongoing year after his contract with the Bundesliga club Hertha BSC had reached its end. Heitinga signed a one year deal with Ajax but depending on how the player performs in this period of time; his stay has the possibility of being extended one additional year.

By signing John Heitinga, in their journey of taking the league title away from the current champions PSV Eindhoven who secured the Bundesliga title in the previous season after having secured a total of 88 points.

Ajax came very far behind as they only managed to secure 71 points in the last season but Frank de Boer remains optimistic about the future of Ajax as he wants to win the Bundesliga league with the Dutch club and the manager even denied any rumors which were recently popping around that linked him with a move to other clubs.

The twin brother of Frank de Boer, Ronald de Boer said: “Frank has decided to stay at Ajax for at least another year. He’s said to his manager he doesn’t want to take any calls for another year.’’

Frank de Boer wants to win the league title and with the arrival of John Heitinga, the manager is expecting that the experienced defender will help in this quest.

BABEL THE EXAMPLE FOR MANY

Earlier this week TV3 revealed that the GAA are currently drawing up social media guidelines for players and officials. The association are keen to make members aware of the potential pitfalls while having no intention of trying to regulate their use.

Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel was fined ten thousand pounds sterling after tweeting a mocked up photo of referee Howard Webb in a Manchester United jersey earlier this season. Webb had awarded United a controversial penalty against Liverpool in their FA Cup tie.

Mark Hughes says that midfielder Stephen Ireland is in contention

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes says that midfielder Stephen Ireland is in contention for a starting spot at the club.

Stoke take on Norwich City in the next Premier League outing. The match comes just weeks after they performed extremely well in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. Even though it was only a draw, Hughes will be extremely delighted with the way his team managed to come back from two goals down to get a point away from home. However, one of the sore points from the game was the injury to Ireland, who is seen as one of the important players in any team managed by Hughes.

The 28-year-old had to be taken off with only 30 minutes remaining in the game. It was expected that this injury would be very serious for Ireland. This would be a major blow to Stoke, who already have a couple of important players on the sidelines. However, Hughes has given a major sigh of relief to the club supporters by confirming that Ireland did not suffer a major problem and that he should be back in contention for the game against Norwich. However, there was less than positive news with the likes of Jonathan Walters, who continues to remain doubtful.

“Both Stephen and Joselu made major contributions last weekend, and of course, as always, they will come into consideration for this game. I have just been speaking to the guys and I have told them that when we have a relatively fully fit squad of players, like we do now, then it is always going to be difficult to keep everybody happy. There will be a couple of guys who miss out, and they will be disappointed and rightly so, because they are all putting the work in and impressing in training,” said Hughes.

Besiktas have been increasingly linked with a move for Ryan Babel

Turkish outfit Besiktas have been increasingly linked with a move for Ryan Babel, who is currently playing for Kasimpasa.

The former Liverpool winger is no longer considered as a top level player and he will have to come by with opportunities in the lower leagues. However, his displays with Kasimpasa appear to have been impressive enough for there to be widespread reports that Kasimpasa had rejected an offer from Besiktas. While Kasimpasa have remained silent over this offer, Besiktas have been quick to distance themselves from the player.

While Kasimpasa have remained silent over this offer, Besiktas have been quick to distance themselves from the player.

They have come out with an official statement saying that the reports of an offer for Babel are untrue. The club are on a path towards success after having spent a Demba Ba from Chelsea last summer. The Senegal International went on to score 18 goals in 29 appearances for the club last season. However, it is believed that the club are looking for a young forward to add to the starting line-up. This would help them prepare for the future. Babel is not considered as a young player anymore but the fact that the 28-year-old has enough experience in the Turkish football makes him an attractive proposition.

The 28-year-old ended last campaign with statistics of nine goals and four assists in 29 appearances. He failed to start only one league match throughout the campaign. “The transfer rumour linking Besiktas with Babel is false we have not been in talks with his agent or made an offer,” read a statement from Besiktas. In contrast, though, the player’s agent stated that Besiktas have given an offer but it was not sufficient for consideration. “Besiktas put forward a proposal for Babel but they will have to offer better terms,” said Winnie Haatrecht. The Dutch winger joined the Turkish club in the 2013-14 season after a spell in the Eredivisie.

Ryan Babel still loves Liverpool and remains up to date with the Premier League club

Ryan Babel spent more than 3 years performing with Liverpool where he had a mixed period of time as the player showed flashes of brilliance on certain matches but most of his time in Anfield was wasted due to injuries and fitness issues which cost the player should stay on the sidelines of the Premier League club for a number of matches and he just couldn’t live up to his full potential.

Babel managed to make 91 appearances and score 12 goals which isn’t an impressive feat for an offensive player who was signed for a fee of around €14 million and failed on making a true impact in the English side.

Even though Babel was not a hugely influential player at Anfield, the Dutch footballer stated that he still continues being a huge fan of Liverpool and even watches their matches whenever he can.

On March 29, an All Star match between the team of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher was played. This was a charity game where former and current players of Liverpool were called up in the pitch and one of those players was Ryan Babel as he was included in the team of Steven Gerrard and Babel took the chance to talk about Liverpool when the match was over, Babel told the media:

The 28 year old Dutch footballer, Ryan Babel said: ‘’Since I left Liverpool, I have always been a fan and followed the team over the years.”Most of the games I try to follow, but I also am obviously still playing myself so sometimes my games are at the same time as Liverpool’s, so I have to watch the highlights.Liverpool is still a part of me – since I left the club, I have remained a big fan. I still have a house in Liverpool and some friends there. It’s a part of me and has been a part of my personal development. It was a good experience.”

Mario Balotelli, Thierry Henry, John Terry and Didier Drogba were some of other high profile players that were featured in this charity match that concluded in a 2-2 tie.

Ryan Babel says he is confident that Liverpool will win FA Cup

Self-confessed Liverpool fan and the Dutch midfielder Ryan Babel says that he is confident that Liverpool can end the season with the FA Cup trophy under their belt.

He says that the motivation of sending of Steven Gerrard with an FA Cup medal will be a huge draw for the players. After failing to progress past the last 16 of the Europa League, Liverpool are left with only two ambitions for the rest of the campaign. This involves being in the top four at the end of the league campaign and possibly winning the FA Cup.

Since the last FA Cup victory back in 2006, Liverpool have not reached the final of the competition. Gerrard was a major part in helping the club secured the title back in 2006 after an inspirational performance against West Ham in the final. Now, Babel believes that it is the turn of Liverpool players to produce an inspirational performance to help the captain win the title on his 35th birthday. Babel spent only four seasons at Anfield, but the impeccable support of the club appears to have made him one of their fans. Since 2015 began, Liverpool have been the team to beat in the Premier League.

“They have looked very good in the last few weeks and have much more confidence than before. There’s still a good chance of ending in the top four and, knowing it will be Gerrard’s last possibility to win a trophy for Liverpool, I am sure the team want to push hard to make sure they end up with one.Given their spirit and how Liverpool have always lived for football, I’m sure they’ll give their all. I think there is a generation who cannot imagine Liverpool without Steven Gerrard, but we also know a football player’s career is not very long,” said Babel.

Craig Bellamy wants Fans not to compare them with Arsenal and Liverpool

Craig Bellamy has asked the fans of Newcastle United FC to understand the fact that the Magpies are not as big a team as the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal and thus, to expect them to keep winning all the time is not fair.

Bellamy has played for a lot of clubs including Newcastle and according to him; he never felt as much pressure of expectations anywhere else as at St. James’ Park.

Speaking in a television programme, the 35 year-old said, “The fans over there are just not content with anything. During my time, we once ended up at no. 5 in the league and still, they thought we could have done better.”

“It’s not that I have any sourness in my heart for Newcastle. I respect that club, but, it’s also a fact that there are bigger clubs in England.”

“The Newcastle fans are passionate about their club. I understand that, but, apart from being passionate, they also need to be realistic. They should have the idea where they stand. They should not just keep asking for more and more.”

The Magpies have gone into the international break as one of the most in form teams in the Premier League. They are on a roll having defeated the Reds, the Spurs and the West Bromwich Albion successively. They have got to top 10 in the table with 16 points. They are equalized with Manchester United at present.
Newcastle had finished 8th in 2013-14. They would want to better that this season and try and get to Europe if possible. But, for that, they must keep their tempo after the international break too.

They will play against the Queens Park Rangers on 22nd of this month at their home ground.

Ryan Babel confident on Mario comeback

Former Liverpool midfielder Ryan Babel says that he still believes that striker Mario Balotelli will eventually come good at the Merseyside club.

The Italian international was signed for £ 16 million and he eventually became the replacement for Luis Suarez, who departed to Barcelona in a £ 75 million deal. Suarez was a major factor in Liverpool almost winning the Premier League last season after he scored 31 goals. Hence, there was a lot of pressure on Balotelli to match the achievements of the Uruguayan and it is something that he has failed to deliver so far.

The 24-year-old is yet to find the back of the net in the league and his two Liverpool goals have come in the Champions League and League Cup against mediocre opposition. Babel endured a difficult spell during his Liverpool days and the former Dutch winger has recalled those times. He says that the Liverpool also have to take blame for the poor performances of Balotelli. He says that the club should have ensured that the striker settled well and it does not seem to be the case. The forward is currently nursing an injury and is not expected to be back at least for the next couple of matches.

His lack of form could result in a permanent place on the bench when Daniel Sturridge returns.“People think every player should be treated the same, but sometimes you have exceptional players who need a different approach to get the best out of them, and that is Mario.I don’t know him personally, but judging from the outside he should have different support. We know he has potential and is a good player. He has shown that before at other teams. If I look at myself, people said in the past I didn’t show it [my best form] every week,” said Babel.

Balotelli disappointing Liverpool

The departure of Luis Suarez from Liverpool and into Barcelona allowed the head coach of Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers on making a number of signings that reinforced different areas of his squad.
One of the players that was signed to try and somehow fill the gap that was left by the Uruguayan forward was Mario Balotelli as he was signed from Ac.Milan with a price tag of €16 million but the Italian attacker has not scored a single goal out of the 4 Premier League matches that he has played for Liverpool so far.
Everton, West Ham United, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspurs have been all of the opponents in the Premier League that Liverpool has faced off in this season and where Mario Balotelli has been featured but he has failed to make a good performance at all.

When news about Mario Balotelli being signed by Liverpool made its way to headlines of websites and newspapers from all over the world, fans of the English club were rather divided as they were well aware that a player such as: Mario Balotelli is a huge gamble for any team.
Mario Balotelli is a figure that has the potential of becoming world class and he has displayed it on a number of occasions with Italy but his actions inside the pitch and outside of it as well has affected his overall image and performance as a player.
When the transfer was officially completed and Mario Balotelli completed his move to Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers was delighted to have signed the Italian player as he said that he was a player that is worth taking a risk for but Rodgers has now revealed that Balotelli was one of the only few options he had on signing.
“Mario was the one right at the very end who was available for that. I said when he came in that it was a calculated risk and it’s something I have to work on to try to make it work for the team. “I think in terms of goals, he needs to improve. It is as simple as that’’ Rodgers said.
