Netherlands To Take On Australia

The Netherlands national football team will take on Australia tomorrow in their second game in the FIFA World Cup 2014 which is currently going on in Brazil.

The Dutchmen would be bubbling with confidence coming into this game after the result that they achieved in the opening game of their campaign against the defending Champions Spain. They just crushed Vicente Del Bosque’s team and pushed them on the verge of a shocking exit.

Defeating Australia shouldn’t be a big challenge for Holland at all. There is just no comparison between the two teams. While, Holland is filled with versatile players, the Australian team only has one or two guys who can be termed world class.

The Aussies, however, in their first game against Chile showed that they are actually not as bad a team as people are supposing them to be, but, despite all that, the skill difference between them and the Dutchmen is just too big.

It would be an achievement for Australia if they manage to prevent a humiliating defeat in tomorrow’s game.

Holland, on the other hand, would be looking for another crushing win so that they can enter the knock out round in some style.

After the huge victory against Spain, Holland has started being considered as the red hot favourites for the title along with Germany.

This tournament is Louis van Gaal’s last assignment as Holland manager and his boys would love to give him a memorable farewell.

Van Gaal has been the manager of Holland since the last 2 years. He had been appointed in 2012 and he has taken the team in the right direction since then. After this tournament, he would leave his post and take charge at Manchester United, the English Premier League club.
